The barn’s most experienced mind is now in your pocket.

A livestock app for cattle, sheep and goats: from a calf off its feed to a drop in milk yield, from an ear-tag record to a drug dose — all of it.

What it does

An assistant that knows your herd.

It handles six jobs in one conversation, from feed calculations to price. The answers aren't generic — they come from your own animal's ear tag, its history, its records.

Six jobs. One conversation.

How it works

A conversation that ends on the animal’s card.

Four steps in between, and all four are right here.

  1. 1

    You write what you see.

No jargon needed; put it the way you’d tell a neighbour.

    Today · 05:41

My calf has been coughing for three days and its nose is running.

  2. 2

    It asks for what’s missing.

Whether the others are coughing, how it’s breathing, whether new animals have come in — the questions a vet would ask.

    ALSE

Are any of the others coughing? And is it working hard to breathe?

  3. 3

It reads your records and its own sources.

The animal’s card, Turkish and English veterinary references — and it says on screen which one it is reading.

    Reading the animal’s card…

    Checking veterinary references…

  4. 4

One tap, and it’s in the animal’s history.

The answer comes as a card and is filed with its date. When the vet arrives, everything is already there.

    WHAT TO DO NOW

    1. 1A vet needs to see it today — the fever is above 40 and has lasted three days.
    2. 2Separate it from the others; move it to a dust-free, airy, cool pen.
    3. 3Keep water and feed within easy reach, and take its temperature every six hours.

The app

Six questions that come to you in the barn.

What do I feed, is it serious, what does this photo show, when is the vaccine due, what is this animal's history, what is it worth today. The app's answer to each is below.

01

Smart ration calculation

Say how many litres of milk you want. It recalculates the day's feed for that target.

A ration is the day's mix of silage, hay and concentrate for one cow. Tell it what you feed now and the yield you want; ALSE rebalances each item by the kilo and says which to raise and over how many days.

My milking cows give 18 litres a day and I want 24. Per head they get 25 kg maize silage, 3 kg lucerne hay and 7 kg dairy feed.

Recalculating the ration for 24 litres…

Daily ration for 24 litres

Lucerne hay3 kg4 kg
Dairy feed7 kg9.5 kg

▲ Energy and protein balanced for 24 litres. Raise the dairy feed gradually over two weeks, not at once, so the rumen adjusts.

Pre-diagnosis

Describe what you see. It tells you how serious it is and what to do today.

A pre-diagnosis is the first assessment, before the vet arrives. ALSE checks what you wrote against veterinary sources, grades it Mild, Moderate or Serious and puts the next steps in order. If the animal needs a vet, that is step one, and the card says why.

My calf has been coughing for three days and its nose is running. I took its temperature: 40.2. It's eating less, too.

Photo analysis

Photograph the hoof, the skin, the eye. It writes down what it sees and what to do.

Take it with your phone and drop it into the conversation. ALSE lists what it finds in the photo, marks the case Healthy, Watch or Urgent and puts the next steps in order. The result is saved to the animal's card with the date.

My cow won’t put any weight on her right hind foot and is limping. Here’s a photo of the hoof.1 photo attached

WHAT WE SAW

The skin between the claws is clearly swollen, red and wet. Refusing to bear weight at all is an urgent sign on its own: the pain is severe.

WHAT TO DO NOW

  1. 1A vet needs to see her today; if she won’t put the foot down, don’t wait.
  2. 2Move it to a dry pen with clean bedding; no mud and no long walks.
  3. 3Clean and dry between the claws; note the swelling and discharge.

Smart notifications

It keeps vaccine, calving and withdrawal dates in a calendar. Before the day comes, it tells you which animal.

A notification arrives when a foot-and-mouth round opens, when a birth is near, and when the days after a treatment during which milk and meat can't be sold have passed. You give the date once; ALSE remembers it, warns you on the day and records the job on the card once it's done.

Today · 12:30

ALSE · NOW

Foot-and-mouth vaccine due

The autumn foot-and-mouth round has opened. Sarıkız, Benekli and Karakız are due by 19 September.

I've arranged the vet for Monday; all three will be done then.

ALSE

Noted for Monday; I'll remind you that morning. Once the vaccines are done, one tap records them on all three cards.

05

Smart herd tracking

Every animal has a card. Type its name and its whole history opens.

The card holds the ear tag, breed, age and everything done, in date order: weighings, vaccines, treatments, photo results, pre-diagnoses. ALSE knows forty breeds, Akkaraman to Zavot; it checks an ear tag as you type it, or reads it off a photo.

I’m thinking of selling him.

ALSE

His last weighing, on 18 August, was 412 kg. Shall I work out what he’d fetch at today’s carcass price?

06

Today's price calculator

It works out what the animal is worth today. And names the source of the price.

Give it the live weight and the breed. ALSE turns live weight into carcass weight at the breed's yield, then multiplies by that day's price from the Meat and Milk Board or the National Red Meat Council. Yield, carcass weight, source and date are all in the answer, so you meet the buyer with a number.

Price sources: Et ve Süt Kurumu, the state Meat and Milk Board · Ulusal Kırmızı Et Konseyi, the National Red Meat Council. Every answer names the body, the date, and whether the figure is carcass or live weight.

I have a Charolais bullock, 460 kg live weight. What would he fetch if I sold today?

Fetching the latest carcass prices…

ALSE

Charolais dress out at about 58%: 460 kg live weight gives roughly 267 kg of carcass.

ALSE

Today's National Red Meat Council price for beef carcass is ₺590.30 per kilo. For 267 kg of carcass that comes to roughly ₺157,600.

Sunrise

By sunrise, there is a plan.

Just ask. By the time you walk into the barn, the day’s feed is worked out, the sick animal’s first steps are in order and the vaccine day is on the calendar. All that is left is to do it.

Before you join

Does it replace my vet?
It gets you ready for the vet. Pre-diagnosis grades how serious the case is and puts the steps in order; if the animal should see a vet today, it says so plainly. The notes, photo results and pre-diagnoses you save sit dated on its card, so the whole history is in your hand at the visit. The diagnosis itself is your vet's to make.
What if it gets something wrong?
It can. That is why ALSE guides and does not diagnose. Its answers rest on veterinary sources and it shows you what it is reading; the final call is yours and your vet's. When in doubt, call the vet.
Signal is weak in my village. Will it work, and does it eat my data?
It does. Answers arrive as text and use very little data; on a weak signal they take a little longer, but they arrive. A new answer does need a connection.
Who sees my data and my photos?
They are not sold and not shared with third parties. Your messages and photos are processed only to produce your answers, with your consent under KVKK, Türkiye's data-protection law. The details are in the KVKK notice.
I'm not good with phones. Is it hard?
There is no password; you sign in with the code texted to your phone. Setup is a few taps: what you keep, how many head, which province. After that there is one thing to do: describe what you see, in your own words.
Where do the prices come from?
From the current figures published by Et ve Süt Kurumu, the state Meat and Milk Board, and Ulusal Kırmızı Et Konseyi, the National Red Meat Council. Every answer names the body, the date, and whether the figure is carcass or live weight.
Is it only for cattle?
No. Cattle, sheep, goats, water buffalo and poultry. It knows forty breeds, from Holstein to Akkaraman to Kıl Keçisi, and tells a yearling from a lamb and a heifer from a cow.
Does it replace the Ministry app (Tarım Cebimde / HAYBİS)?
No. Official ear-tag reporting and the paperwork stay with the Ministry app. ALSE remembers your herd for you and tells you what to do, and when.
